First Bossier Recovery Update

December 24, 2018

First Bossier Family,

On this day before Christmas I want you to know how thankful our entire staff team is for your prayers, courage and willingness to move forward, rebuild and strive to have an even greater impact for the glory of God.

Yesterday I shared a huge “Thank You!” to the over 300 First Bossier women who have gone to numerous Fire Stations throughout our region and brought food and shared with every fireman possible how grateful our church is for their bravery in fighting our recent fires. Wow! So cool seeing our church in action!

And so many have shared their desire to serve and help with our recovery efforts. Thank you! We will have more opportunities for people to help after the New Year.

I also shared yesterday in Worship that our Building Team met last week and are diligently making plans for our next steps in securing architect, builder and mapping-out the clearing of damaged buildings and rebuilding timeline. Please be praying for this team in the coming weeks and months.

As a reminder of our schedule for the coming days and weeks:

Monday December 24th – Christmas Eve Service at 5pm in Worship Center.

Sunday December 30th – No 9:15 hour. No Connect Groups Meeting. Worship at 10:45. FB Kids (K-5) will be in Main Worship Hour. Tiny Town (Birth-Pre-k) will be taking a planned Christmas Break so they will be in Main Worship with all of us.

Sunday January 6th – No 9:15 hour. No Connect Groups Meeting. Worship at 10:45. FB Kids (K-5) will be in Main Worship Hour. Tiny Town (Birth-Pre-k) will be fully operational during the 10:45 Hour.

We will share on Sunday January 6th a clearer picture of our next steps for our Connect Group Ministry, FB Kids Worship, Student Worship, Wednesday Evening Journey, and further Recovery Details and plans. Please make every effort to attend on this particular Sunday.

Can’t encourage you enough to bring your family, friends, classmates and co-workers tonight to our Christmas Eve service. It begins at 5 pm and I would encourage you to arrive early. Outside doors open at 4 and doors open to worship center at 4:30. Ardis coffee will be open prior to service.

Praying the peace of the Lord Jesus will bring comfort and joy to your heart and family this Christmas Season!
