Dear First Bossier Family,
We are overwhelmed with gratitude for your support and love and your interest in what is going on in Austin Texas. We are humbled by your generosity and our hope is to seek God and His Kingdom in all that we do. God is working in the hearts and lives of those living in East Austin and Booker T. Washington. We are seeing the Holy Spirit move and shape people in ways that are exciting and encouraging to us. God is breaking chains of sin and injustice and He is opening up the windows of hope and purpose to people who have been crushed by the darkness of despair. Through relationships formed we are learning about the areas of hardness in our own hearts and that God has as much redemption and restoration for us as for those he has led us to serve.
As our team prays for 2010 we pray that Jesus will be so much at the center of our own lives that we will bring forth life to a weary land as a result of just knowing him and walking with him. We fully recognize that no amount of money, resources, talents, or hard work will be sufficient for the redemptive work of God without a deep passion and delight in Christ being at the core of it all. We also recognize that with a prayerful heart of expectancy and delight in Jesus, nothing is impossible. Please continue to pray for the families and children in East Austin and specifically at Booker T. Washington and Mason Manor apartments.
Again we can’t thank you enough. In time of service when we feel weary and tired it refreshes us to know that people around the country are interceding for us and going to the Throne of Grace with confidence so that our God might be made known to the nations.
We ask that you pray this verse for us that as we serve, Jesus will flow through us and become rivers of living water to those around us. We pray for people to thirst for Him with a desire to be quenched.
“If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow RIVERS of living water.” John 7:38
Striving for His glory,
