The goal of the First Baptist Bossier Job Connection is to support and assist those in our church family who are unemployed to regain employment through job matching (seeker database & jobs available listing), career services (résumé writing support & interviewing skills), and interpersonal support and encouragement. (one-on-one and meetings).

Seekers
If you are looking for new employment, please click HERE to provide us with some information to add you our list of individuals seeking new employment. We will take the information you provide and use it to help match you to opportunities we are aware of as well as add you to our list of individuals who are looking for new employment for prospective employers. Our goal is to provide you support through resume writing assistance, interview skill practice, and encouragement along the way.

Meetings:
We will have monthly group meetings to encourage one another which will include a short devotional, time of prayer, and some practical skill tips/ideas to use in your job search. This monthly meeting is a great opportunity to be encouraged, be an encourager, and support one another. Individuals who are looking for work as well as those individuals who would like to be mentors can attend this monthly meeting.  

We meet in Room 306 on the first Sunday of EVERY Month. Changes and or exceptions to this schedule will be posted here.

Mentors:
Are you in the position to hire individuals? Have you personally spent a lot of time interviewing? Do you want to be an encouragement to individuals who are seeking new employment? Want to help and encourage individuals who are looking for new employment? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then we need YOU!

We are seeking individuals who can mentor, coach, and provide support to individuals who are seeking new employment. You will have the opportunity to pray for and give guidance to individuals through the application, interview process, and transition to new employment. If you are interested in this opportunity, please click HERE and let us know. If you could provide any special skills, market, industry, experience that will help us pair you up wit individuals who are seeking employment, please include that in the “Notes” section of the form.

Do you know of a local job that needs to be filled? Are you in the position to hire individuals? If so, we need to hear from you.

We will maintain a master list of known positions that we will refer people to. This list is updated at least twice a month and is made available to individuals in this group during our monthly meetings, in the church office, or by email by contacting Jim Hunsicker at fbbjobs@gmail.com. If you know about a job or are looking to hire someone, please submit the details of the position HERE to have the opportunity added to our current list.
