Gorgeous

is a weekly Bible study on Wednesday nights at 6:00 PM in the First Baptist Bossier Hospitality Room. Taught by Kasey Ewing and Dr. Deb Douglas, this study offers an indepth look at the scriptures while challenging women to apply biblical truths to everyday living. Hope Ministry:

A ministry to persons (male and female) impacted by cancer. Support groups begin Monday, February 6, 2012; 6:00 PM First Baptist Bossier in Room 302. For more information, email ddouglas@firstbossier.com

KFC: Knit, Fleece & Crochet

Serve others as you enjoy the friendship of other women! Learn how to knit, crochet, and make fleece blankets for those in need. Items are donated to The Hub, The Providence House, Heart of Hope, and other area ministries. Every other Tuesday. Meets in Room 303 - 3:00 PM. For more information, call Lisa Westerfield 469.9574

M & M Mentoring.

Have you ever wished you had a mentor to walk beside you through life? To teach you how to find answers to life’s challenges in the Bible? Or are you to the place in life where you want to pour into the life of a younger woman by mentoring her? M & M Mentoring is for you! Mentors and Mereas in short term, casual relationships (5-8 weeks) meeting together to learn how to follow Christ more closely. Sign up by emailing ddouglas@firstbossier.com

Do you coupon or shop smart? Or maybe you just want to help those in need? Here’s a simple way to help: While shopping purchase items needed by local ministries, drop off in the Women’s Ministry office for delivery to the ministries! Simple! Suggestions:
•  The Hub: socks, underwear, canned meats (pull tops), small sized personal care items (toothpaste, soap, deodorant, razors, lotion, etc)

• Providence House: Windex Spray Cleaner, Clorox bleach spray cleaner, 409 cleaner, 33 gallon trash bags, 55 gallon trash bags, 5 gallon laundry detergent, Lysol Spray, Clorox Bleach (gallon sized), Dishwashing detergent, twin sized sheets, towels, wash cloths, school supplies.

• Ark-La-Tex Crisis Pregnancy Center- baby items (diapers, wipes, lotions, baby shampoos, etc)

• Samaritan’s Purse Shoe Boxes for Christmas: school supplies (purchase in late summer during sales), small toys (cruise down the clearance aisle for markdowns; Target’s dollar section runs half price specials seasonally), washcloths, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste.
