Hey First Bossier Family, we are excited about all God is doing and we are prayerfully calling all of our church family to join us in our Generosity Initiative so that we can have a thriving financial foundation for the next year.
Please check out this information resource and let's all turn in our commitment card on Sunday November 1st. Thank you for standing strong with our church family!

God has done amazing things here at First Bossier over the past 50 years. Our church has planted churches locally, nationally and sent missionaries around the world for one mission, To Help People Know and Follow Jesus. Our church exists to Reach Northwest Louisiana, America and the World for Jesus Christ.
This means we have a local vision, a national vision and a global vision for the gospel to be preached and disciples to be made for the glory of God. Since 2013 we have seen the Lord use our church to do some incredible ministry locally, nationally and internationally.
In recent years we have had to take on the mission that is very similar to Nehemiah. He rebuilt the wall around Jerusalem and had to stand against those who tried to oppose the work of God. But God did a mighty work in Nehemiah’s life and ministry, and He is doing a fresh work in the life and ministry of First Bossier.
Now is the time
- To position our church to be used for His glory for the next generation.
- To extend our gospel reach and to shine brighter for God’s glory.
- To have a church that is healthy spiritually, financially and operationally.
- To further the mission of Reaching NW Louisiana, America and the World for Jesus Christ.
To accomplish all that God has for us, now is the time to enter into a Generosity Initiative called “For Bossier Today and Beyond”.
Below are five reasons why this initiative is needed and needed now. In the month of October, we will be unpacking publicly our call to commitment to see our church step up our generosity.
Yours For Bossier Today and Beyond,
Pastor Brad Jurkovich
Why now is the time for Bossier Today and Beyond

In a traditional capital campaign, funds are usually given from only a portion of the congregation. In a One Fund Generosity Initiative, the percentage of givers increases greatly. The focus goals shift from dollars raised to disciples made.
A Generosity Initiative would excite and include newer givers.
When a typical campaign is over, that extra giving goes away. A One Fund Generosity Initiative includes a strategy that raises the generosity of its members through discipleship.
A Generosity Initiative would raise the level of generosity of our people for a long-term lifestyle as opposed to a short-term goal.
Baby Boomers are the largest giving demographic for the church in the US today. With this generation approaching retirement, time is of the essence. We must develop a new generation of generosity leaders for the church.
A Generosity Initiative will help our Baby Boomers generation finish strong and raise up a new generation of generous disciples of Christ.
In the US, most church buildings are old and outdated. In 2021 we were able to celebrate a newly rebuilt campus. But we have some deferred maintenance that we need to update on our campus: air conditioning systems, updated paint on exterior of our campus, updating turf on Freedom Fields, updated signage, and parking lot updates.
A Generosity Initiative will make much needed updates and improvements to our facilities so we can continue to have a dynamic on-campus experience.
Our church has stood faithfully over the past five years against a legal assault from non-members who tried to take over First Bossier.
A Generosity Initiative will help our church rebuild its financial reserves so we have a legacy of generosity to grow and rebuild for the future.
How does the One Fund Generosity Initiative work?
One Fund is designed to meet the ongoing needs of the church and beyond! No longer will you need to identify whether your gift goes into the general fund or a designated fund. All giving will go into One Fund. Any gift amount over the quarterly budget required will first overflow into rebuilding our Reserve Account, then to making improvements to our campus, Freedom Fields and maximizing our Mission and Outreach impact. Throughout the year, we will celebrate what God is doing through your generosity.
